And again

Tried something more complex today. Didn't quite work out, but there's more good than bad in it, so it's not a loss really. 30 minutes, you have to be kinda daring and take some risks.

That's a very difficult angle to draw well. You're right though, more good than bad in it for certain. I really like the way you handled the line of the hip where the ribcage crosses it.

I'm pretty happy with that line, too.l The shoulders didn't come out the way I'd hoped, way too boney. But the lower body looks pretty good overall.

Part of the problem too was I only had 30 minutes from start to finish, so I didh't have much time to really look at shading, light and so forth, but just capture the forms and proportions and the major lines. As I get more practiced, I'm hoping to be able to do what I'm doing in 30 minutes now in only half the time, and use the rest to get into more detail, and have time to step back and really look at the piece for a couple of minutes and get the big picture.
